Cats in therapy - webinar at Akademie Tiersupported

We have Renate Deimel from Lichtblickhof invited to talk about her amazing work with cats. Topics in the webinar will be:
Training and areas of application, selection of suitable cat partners, effects of cats in animal-assisted work. After that there is an opportunity to ask questions. We are looking forward to this evening together in the name of velvet paws!

Speaker: Mag.a Renate Deimel, MSc
studied special and curative education and psychotherapy (integrative therapy) and accompanies children, young people and their families in animal-assisted grief, trauma and palliative care. She has been working for over 15 years Lichtblickhof in the team of Mag. Roswitha Zink. In addition to the intensive support of clients, she is enthusiastic about the training and education of animals. She is particularly fascinated by the animals' excellent non-verbal skills. In international exchanges, she is intensively involved with the nature, training and education of cats. It inspires her to observe what cats can do in a therapeutic setting and how the special abilities of these animals can lead to a healing interaction for seriously ill clients.
Ms. Deimel has been on the Executive Committee of HETI (Horses in Education and Therapy International) since 2021.
